Description
Chryso®Concera SA 8590 is a high-efficiency polycarboxylate-based superplasticiser developed for Control Flow Concrete, a highly flowable concrete produced using conventional mix designs. It provides exceptional workability retention, extreme fluidity, and resistance to segregation.
The admixture extends slump-flow life, provides high responsiveness to minimal compaction energy, and improves cohesiveness across varying moisture conditions. It is designed to produce highly workable, segregation-resistant concrete while enhancing job-site consistency.
Application areas
- Control Flow Concrete
- Conventional mixes requiring improved workability
- High‑workability concrete with segregation resistance
- Concrete with untreated slump 50–125 mm prior to admixture addition
Benefits
Compared to conventional concrete
- High flowability with excellent stability
- Reduced need for vibration and easier finishing
- Enhanced segregation resistance
- Minimised blocking in congested reinforcement
- Faster construction due to quicker discharge and placement
- Lower pump pressures and reduced equipment wear
Compared to self-compacting concrete (SCC)
- Lower material cost (conventional mix designs)
- Superior tolerance to moisture variation
- Reduced need for job‑site QC adjustments
General product benefits
- Cost‑effective production of high‑performance concrete
- Reliable slump‑flow consistency
- Improved cohesiveness with reduced bleeding
- Extended slump‑flow retention
