Description

Chryso®Daratard R1 is a liquid retarding admixture for concrete that temporarily delays cement hydration, enabling extended transportation and placing times for concrete. It can be used with all types of concrete, including sprayed concrete.

The product is formulated from inorganic hydroxylated polymers and conforms to EN 934-2. It is manufactured under controlled conditions to provide consistent performance.

Application areas

Chryso®Daratard R1 is suitable for:

  • Ready-mixed concrete.
  • Site-batched concrete.
  • Sprayed concrete.
  • Long-distance concrete transportation.
  • Long-distance pumping applications.
  • Concrete placement in high-temperature conditions.

Compatibility:

  • Can be used with most Portland cements.
  • Effective in concrete containing fly ash or ground granulated blastfurnace slag (GGBS).
  • Should not be premixed with other admixtures.
  • All admixtures should be added separately into the mix.
  • For special cements, consultation is recommended.
