Technical Data Sheet Safety Data Sheet Description Pieri®VBA Lav 03 Blue is a water-based surface retarder designed to create exposed aggregate finishes on concrete surfaces. It delays cement hydration at the surface, allowing controlled washing to reveal the aggregates and achieve a uniform decorative appearance. Pieri®VBA Lav 03 Blue is suitable for an aggregate exposure depth of approximately 2 mm when used with aggregates sized 5–8 mm, and forms part of the Pieri®VBA Lav range. Pieri®VBA Lav is a range of eight surface retarder variants developed to provide controlled and repeatable depths of aggregate exposure. The range covers exposure depths from approximately 1 mm to 7 mm, suitable for aggregate sizes from 3 mm to 30 mm, depending on the selected variant and concrete formulation. No solvents are used in the formulation of the range, making it easier to apply and allowing application equipment to be cleaned using water only.
